Celebrating the life of

Bobbie Jacobs Lunsford

Passed away on August 30, 2023

Bobbie Jacobs Lunsford

Bobbie Jacobs Lunsford passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.  She was born November 26, 1935, in Cherry Grove, N.C. and lived most of her life in Savannah, GA.

She was a member of Bible Baptist Church for over 65 years and always looked forward to helping count the offering on Monday mornings.

She worked at J.C. Penney’s downtown and worked at K-Mart on Victory Drive.  She retired from K-Mart in Doraville, GA after 30 years.  She loved to sew, iron her clothes, and would still hang them outside on her clothesline.  She loved to bake pies, and cakes, and made the best meat loaf and pot roast.  Her love, kindness, and warmth will continue to inspire those who were privileged to have known her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Hazel Page, sister, Patti Powell, son, Terry Jacobs, and nephew, Chris Powell, daughter, Lawana Rivera.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Herman Lunsford, brother, Mitchell Page and wife, Dollie, sister, Margie Sapp, son, Gregory Jacobs and wife Linda, daughters, Debbie and Dede Lunsford.  Grandchildren, Gregory Jacobs, Jr. (Ellen), Erica McBride (Tracey), Brad Jacobs, Angela Jacobs, Robbie Beasley, Gordon Bash, Courtney Diez, David Bozek, Doraine, Adam, Christian, and Amanda.  She had many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of Love and support during this time of loss and celebration of life, especially for Cathy Hodges, careworkers, Hospice, and the neighbors, especially Debbie Powell next door, Mom’s Angel.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Bible Baptist Church, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
